Frequently Asked Questions

If you cannot find the answer here, call +372 5502944 or email info@lukk.ee.

What is backset and how to measure it? +
Backset is the distance from the door edge to the centre of the cylinder hole in the lock. Measure with a ruler from the edge to the cylinder hole centre. Standard values in Estonia: 50, 55, 60 mm for entrance doors and 45 mm for interior doors. The correct backset is critical — otherwise the lock will not fit your door.
What is PZ and what cylinder length do I need? +
PZ is the European cylinder profile (Profilzylinder). Length is measured from the centre to each side, e.g. 30+30 mm = a 60 mm long cylinder. Length must match the door thickness — too short means the lock will not work; too long lowers break-in resistance.
Can I order the lock and installation in one order? +
Yes. Add a product to the cart — eligible items show «Installation available +€X». Pick it at the cart step, and our locksmith arrives within 1–2 days. Installation is available in Tallinn and surroundings.
Which banks are supported for payment? +
Lukk.ee accepts payments via LHV, Swedbank, SEB, Luminor, Coop, Citadele and Revolut bank links, as well as Visa/Mastercard, Apple/Google Pay. Payments are securely processed by EveryPay (LHV Pank).
How fast is shipping? +
In-stock products are packed the same day if ordered before 14:00. Unisend parcel locker delivery takes 1–2 business days. Door-to-door courier — 1–2 business days. Pickup from Priisle tee 4/1, Tallinn — immediately after order confirmation.
Can I return a product? +
Yes, Estonian law gives a 14-day return right. The product must be unused, in original packaging and complete. See full terms on the Returns page.
Do you provide a warranty? +
Yes, all products come with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Installation work has a separate 2-year warranty. The warranty does not cover damage caused by the Customer.
Can I replace an old lock myself or do I need a locksmith? +
A standard door lock can be replaced by an experienced DIYer (needed: a screwdriver, a ruler, ~30 minutes). First time — we recommend calling a locksmith (~€35–65), especially for security locks and exclusive cylinders.
